Papillon stands for "butterfly" in French, and describes this dog breed's ears, which look like beautiful butterfly wings. Papillons originate from France, and the correct pronounciation  is "Papi - On."  We feature the rare, petite Papillons which range from 4 - 5 lbs at maturity, and reach  approximately 8 inches in height.  ( Papillons normally range from 7 to 10 pounds and up to 11 inches in height. )
